III. Crane configuration
In the manufacture of marine cranes, each customer has different requirements for the configuration of the crane, such as motors, some customers need imported brands (ABB or Siemens, etc.), while some customers only need local brands, we have to take longer to purchase imported motors than local brands of motors, so the overall assembly time of the crane will also be extended. This includes the paint for the crane, normally OUCO uses imported brand Jotun paint, the colour is yellow by default, if the customer needs other brands and colours of paint, we need to order them, this will involve the ordering lead time, so these aspects will also affect the overall production lead time of the crane.
IV. Certification of cranes
Marine cranes are required to be certified by classification societies, and each certification takes a different amount of time, so the customer's certification requirements are also one of the factors affecting the production lead time. V. Special requirements for cranes
We also encounter special requirements where these cranes will be used in special applications, such as on oil tankers, where a complete explosion-proof type of crane is required, involving the ordering of explosion-proof types of accessories, with a consequent longer delivery period. There is also the -40°C ultra-low temperature environment, we need to order special low temperature resistant steel plates, due to the special nature of these cranes, the production cycle may also be extended.
