Why Do Ports Use Eco hoppers?

In the process of bulk cargo loading and unloading, the dust will fly between the grapple discharge and the hopper because of the ambient wind speed, and the dust will also rise with the conical surface of the hopper after the material is fed, which will generate a lot of dust, which causes serious air pollution and water pollution to the terminal environment!

Typical bulk cargoes in ports include grains, cement, coal, etc. Different types of dust have different degrees of health effects and cause serious harm to the human respiratory system, so controlling dust pollution and building green bulk terminals is something that needs to be done by companies in the industry.

What Principle Does The Eco hopper Use?

The hopper is equipped with a variety of dust control technologies to solve the problem of dust pollution, such as top cross wind design, cyclone dust removal system, integrated pulse dust collector, etc. The hopper body of the hopper is made of a box type structure with welded plates and wear-resistant plates installed inside, which effectively prevents the hopper body from wear and tear caused by long-term use. The level meter is installed to detect the height of the material level inside the hopper, which is divided into low, high and high level!

The dust removal system is mainly composed of cyclone dust collector, air duct, centrifugal fan, manual air door and electric discharge valve. When the centrifugal fan is running and the air door is opened, the airflow enters the cyclone dust collector through the suction ports arranged around the bucket body, the dust generated by the material will also enter the dust collector with the airflow, after which the dust will fall into the bottom of the dust collector by gravity and will be discharged to the bottom when the electric discharge valve is activated. The dust is then discharged by gravity to the bottom of the dust collector, where it is discharged into the lower dust collection bag when the electric discharge valve starts.

This combination of design allows the eco hopper to suppress dust to a maximum extent, making it virtually invisible at the hopper mouth, improving the overall bulk unloading site environment, avoiding dust hazards to staff and allowing safe production to be effectively guaranteed!
