Windows and wipers

The cab of a marine hydraulic crane is equipped with windows, which are made of safety glass, installed in front and on both sides of the cab. This allows the operator to see in front and on both sides, ensuring that the operator has a good view and a clear view of the vertical range between the top of the boom and the load at all times when looking forward. The windows should also be equipped with wipers and washers to ensure that the glass remains clear at all times.

Requirements for doors and access

The door into the cab, whatever the type, must be protected from accidental opening or closing when the hydraulic crane is in operation on the vessel. If the door near the operator is of the sliding type, it needs to be designed to slide open backwards, if it is of the swivel type, it needs to open outwards. The passage from the operator's seat to the exit door must be clear, the passage can be fitted with suitable handles or steps, this facilitates access for the operator, the walking passage needs to be equipped with anti-slip features and fitted with protective rails, where there is no need to step on the treads, 2 transition rails can be installed to ensure walking safety as far as possible.

Noise Levels

For standard marine hydraulic crane cabs, the noise level needs to meet the requirements of OSHA 1910.95 if there are no special requirements from the customer, or if there are additional requirements, they need to be customised on a case-by-case basis.
